Blown glass, held in an oblate form. Light moves through it differently depending on the colour.

The Tama shade is drawn from a single gather of tinted glass, its elliptical body pressing wide and low — a considered proportion that keeps the filament visible at the centre. An inner collar, formed from the same glass, anchors the socket and creates a quiet shadow ring within the globe. The matte-black hardware recedes, leaving the glass to carry the room.

  • Blown tinted glass shade in Smoke, Blue, Amber, Bronze, or Red — each colour shifts the warmth of the glow it casts

  • Inner glass collar suspends the bulb at the geometric centre of the form, visible through the translucent shell

  • Matte-black canopy and cord cap finished to sit without competing with the glass

  • Exposed filament bulb included; the tubular stem and globe base are visible through the shade

  • Hanging length adjustable to suit ceiling height; single cord suspension

The Tama is built around one honest move: an ellipse pressed flat enough to feel grounded, tall enough to trap light inside the glass wall. The inner collar — a smaller turned ring of the same tinted glass — gives the eye somewhere to rest and stops the form from reading as simply a bowl. In multiples, the varying colours read as a considered collection rather than a random assortment.

Frequently asked questions

The range, pendants, wall lights, table lamps, and lamps lamps, each piece chosen for its form, material, and the quality of light it makes.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.

Lighting can be returned if unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging within the timeframe outlined in our policy. Custom or made-to-order fixtures are final sale. Please refer to our returns page for full details.
