Returns & Refunds Policy

At Louve Lights, we’re a small business passionate about helping you create a beautifully lit home. We carefully curate and inspect every piece before it leaves our hands, and we hope you love your lights as much as we do. But if something’s not quite right, we’re here to help — within reason.

30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. We ask that you check your items as soon as they arrive — any damages or issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery so we can file claims with the appropriate courier or supplier.

We’re Not Amazon (And That’s a Good Thing)

We offer free shipping on all orders — and as part of that balance, customers cover the cost of returns. We're not a big-box retailer with endless warehousing and free returns built into inflated prices. We're an independent business, and your support allows us to continue offering thoughtful, design-forward lighting without cutting corners.

If that doesn’t suit your needs, we totally understand — you may prefer shopping from larger platforms like Amazon or Walmart that are built for mass returns.

Return Eligibility & Conditions

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and include all components.
  • You’ll need to ship the item back within 7 days of return approval.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns on non-faulty items.

Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Made-to-order or custom items
  • Light bulbs and accessories
  • Used, damaged, or repackaged items
  • Final Sale, Open Box, and Resale items (unless damaged on arrival)

Sale items are not refundable but may be eligible for store credit.

How to Start a Return

  • Email us at support@louvelights.com with your order number, reason for return, and photos of the product and original packaging.
  • We’ll confirm eligibility and provide the return address.
  • Ship the item with tracking and insurance for your protection.
  • Once received and inspected, your return will be processed within 3–5 business days.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Shipping fees and any third-party transaction fees are non-refundable.

Exchanges & Damaged Items

We pack and quality-check all items before they leave our warehouse. If your item arrives damaged, please let us know within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Email us with photos of the item, damage, and packaging condition.
  • This timeframe allows us to lodge claims with couriers and suppliers.
  • In some cases, we may request the original packaging to support the claim.

Order Cancellations & Changes

  • You may cancel or modify your order within 24 hours of purchase.
  • After 24 hours, your order may already be processing or in transit. You’ll still be able to return the item after it arrives, in line with our return policy.

Refused Deliveries or Incorrect Items

  • If you refuse delivery, return shipping and handling costs will be deducted from your refund — up to 50% depending on the situation.
  • If we sent the wrong item, let us know within 7 days — we’ll fix it at no cost to you.
