Quarried stone, softened to light.

Taro is a low disc of solid travertine, wider than it is tall, weighted, quiet. The stone is left to be itself: the open pitting, the faint banding, the shift in tone across the surface are the material's own record, no two shades alike. Light passes through and comes back warm and unhurried, less a fixture switching on than a room settling. A turned wood detail at the stem grounds the stone in something living and grained, and the whole form keeps to a single clean gesture, nothing added, nothing performing.

  • Shade cut from solid travertine, with the stone's natural pitting and tonal variation left intact, each piece unique
  • Solid wood detail warms the palette and roots the form in natural grain
  • Low, squat disc silhouette reads as sculpture as much as light
  • Diffuses a soft, ambient glow suited to intimate rooms
  • Hangs alone as a quiet anchor, or in a staggered run over a longer surface

Taro belongs in the rooms you want to feel calm rather than lit, over a bedside, a small dining table, or a hallway where it can do quiet work. The squat proportions sit low and unobtrusive, so it grounds a space without dominating the sightline, which is exactly why it carries multiples well over an island or a runner. For a scheme built on natural materials and restraint, it's a fixture that resolves the room rather than competing with it.

Frequently asked questions

The range, pendants, wall lights, table lamps, and lamps lamps, each piece chosen for its form, material, and the quality of light it makes.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.

Lighting can be returned if unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging within the timeframe outlined in our policy. Custom or made-to-order fixtures are final sale. Please refer to our returns page for full details.
