Taro is a low disc of solid travertine, wider than it is tall. The stone surface shows natural pitting and tonal variation across the exterior. Light collects inside the cavity and spreads downward as a warm, even glow. A turned wood stem sits between the stone and the braided cord. It suits a kitchen island, a dining table, or a bedside — hung singly or in a pair.

Taro is a flat disc of solid travertine mounted on a turned wood stem. The stone's exterior surface retains its natural pitting and tonal variation; the interior cavity is smooth and reflects the bulb's glow downward as warm, even light. The low proportion — wide relative to its height — keeps the form close to the sightline without blocking it. It suits a single position over a table or island, or a staggered pair where two discs share a run.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.
