Rattan weave and hemp rope that send warm shadow across walls and ceilings.

Haru is a pendant light built from two materials: hemp rope, wound in close pleated rows that flare at the top and base, and a broad open-weave rattan band at the centre. The rattan lattice lets light pass through sideways, spreading a pattern of shadow across walls and ceiling. The hemp rope diffuses a warm amber glow downward. Three sizes are available, suited to a kitchen island, a dining table, or a reading corner, hung alone or in a row.

Haru is built from two materials: hemp rope wound in close pleated rows that form a flared upper cone and a wider lower skirt, and a broad open rattan cane band at the centre. The rattan weave is open enough to let light pass through sideways in a lattice pattern. The stacked proportion gives the form a visible weight without bulk. It suits a single position above a chair or a row of three above a long kitchen island.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.
