I put the large Alberte over our dining table and the room stopped feeling like a room we just ate in. The rattan casts this warm amber pattern across everything — the table, the walls, the faces of the people sitting there. Friends ask about it every time. I did not expect a light shade to change a room that much, but this one did.
Warmth gathered under a wide, woven cone.
Alberte is woven from rattan in a broad, low cone — a form that holds a bulb at its centre and releases light downward and outward through the open weave. The natural grain of the rattan glows amber when lit, casting a pattern of fine shadow across walls and table alike. A room that was flat and functional becomes settled and warm.
