I hung three Tsubos at staggered heights above our dining table and the room changed completely. What had felt like an afterthought became the part of the house I'm most glad to show people. The way the ribbed liner casts those fine lines of shadow across the wall — guests always notice it, even if they can't quite say why.

Light held inside glass, twice over.

The outer sphere is blown smooth and clear, enclosing a separate ribbed glass liner whose vertical ridges catch the filament's glow and scatter it into fine linear shadows across the walls and table below. The cast brass crown — finished to a warm patina — holds the two glass layers in proportion, its petal-form detailing visible through the transparent globe. At night the effect is unhurried: column after column of refracted light, shifting slowly as the room does.

A dining table lit by Tsubo changes the terms of an evening. Guests settle differently when the light is considered — when it casts something worth noticing onto the wall behind them. The room stops being a room and becomes a setting, and that quiet distinction is yours to offer every time the table is laid.

  • The ribbed inner liner breaks the filament's glow into fine lines of shadow, warming a flat wall or a pale ceiling without effort.

  • Clear glass reveals the full depth of the fitting — brass, glass, and light in honest layers — so the pendant reads as an object even when unlit.

  • Three sizes work singly over a kitchen island or grouped at staggered heights above a dining table, shifting in scale without losing coherence.

  • The warm brass patina holds its tone against wood, stone, and plaster alike, settling into most rooms without negotiation.

  • An adjustable black fabric cord means ceiling height is not a constraint.

Tsubo is built from blown clear glass and a separate ribbed clear glass inner liner, with cast brass hardware throughout. Each piece is artisan made. The black fabric cord is adjustable to 47.2" (120 cm); a canopy is included. Three sizes are available — dimensions are listed below.

The structure of Tsubo is entirely visible: the outer globe conceals nothing. Through clear glass you see the ribbed liner, the brass fitting, the filament — each layer honest about its purpose. Proportion is considered across all three sizes; the globe holds its weight on the cord without reading as either too slight or too heavy. Grouped at staggered heights, the forms become a quiet arrangement of light-holding vessels rather than a cluster of fixtures.

HOW A ROOM FEELS

Warm, not bright.

The right light doesn't fill a room, it settles into it. Warm, calm, considered. The kind that makes a space feel like somewhere worth being.

Considered Quality

Made to last.

Every piece is chosen for its material and its form, real materials, exactly what they say they are. These are surfaces that age well, gathering character with time rather than tiring of it. Made to be kept, not replaced.

Frequently asked questions

The range, pendants, wall lights, table lamps, and lamps lamps, each piece chosen for its form, material, and the quality of light it makes.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.

Lighting can be returned if unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging within the timeframe outlined in our policy. Custom or made-to-order fixtures are final sale. Please refer to our returns page for full details.
