I put the large Takis vertically beside the bathroom mirror and the room stopped feeling like a bathroom. The alabaster glows in a way that makes the whole wall warm — that amber drift through the stone in the evening is something I didn't expect. Takis is a cylindrical alabaster shade held in a slim dark-bronze frame, capped flush at each end. Lit, the full length glows warm and even — the stone's natural veining surfaces as light passes through, shifting from pale ivory to amber where the alabaster thickens. The dark-bronze frame sits quiet around it, matte and considered, leaving the stone to read as the dominant surface.
