Silas is a floor lamp with a cylindrical fabric shade mounted on three tapered wood legs. The shade diffuses the bulb into a soft, even glow with no hot spots. The wood grain is visible through the lower section of the shade when the lamp is lit. It suits a living room corner beside a chair, or a bedroom beside a bed.

The three tapered legs splay just enough to give the form stability without widening the footprint. The cylindrical fabric shade sits high on the frame, so the wood grain is visible through the lower section when the lamp is lit. The shade spreads the light evenly at a height that suits a seated room — steady in proportion and plain in form.
