The stone's exterior surface retains its natural pitting and tonal variation; the interior cavity is smooth and reflects the bulb's glow downward as warm, even light. The low proportion — wide relative to its height — keeps the form close to the sightline without blocking it. It suits a single position over a table or island, or a staggered pair where two discs share a run.
