I hung the large Hasu over our dining table and the room changed immediately. That flat overhead light was gone — replaced by something that actually felt warm, almost like candlelight held under a wide brim. Friends sit longer now. They always comment on it, though they can never quite say why the room feels so different.

Cast in a mineral composite, Hasu takes the form of a lotus leaf mid-drift — its wide brim lifting and falling in an uneven wave. The matte, sandy surface holds shadow across its breadth, and the open underside lets the bulb cast a warm glow up into the shade and down onto the table below. Small pores and cast marks are left honest; they are part of what the piece is.
Over a dining table or in a living room corner, Hasu changes the quality of the room. The light becomes softer, more considered — the kind a guest notices without being able to name. There is a quiet pride in a setting that feels this settled, this genuinely warm.

The shade is cast in a mineral composite; the fitting is metal. Small surface pores, edge marks and slight tonal variation are inherent to the casting process and are not faults. Available in two sizes: Ø 9.8" (25 cm) and Ø 15.7" (40 cm), each H 5.9" (15 cm). Takes a standard E26 bulb (not included).
