I put the large Volta on the wall beside the bed. The alabaster sphere glows a deep warm colour through the stone — not bright, just enough for reading. The dark steel disc sends a little light back onto the wall behind it. The proportion is good; the disc is wide enough to feel solid on a standard wall.

Volta is a wall light built around a solid alabaster sphere seated in a concave stainless steel disc with a dark bronze finish. When lit, the alabaster transmits a warm, even glow through the stone. The steel dish reflects that light back toward the wall. It suits a hallway, a bedroom wall, or a corridor, mounted at eye level. Two sizes are available: Small (Ø 22 cm / 8.7") and Large (Ø 28 cm / 11").

Volta places a solid alabaster sphere at the centre of a concave stainless steel disc. The disc is finished in a dark bronze tone that shifts between warm brown and grey depending on the light. The alabaster transmits a warm glow through the stone when lit; unlit, the veining sits against the dark steel. The small size at Ø 22 cm (8.7") suits a narrow wall or a pair flanking a bed; the large at Ø 28 cm (11") works on a wider wall or corridor.

Bulbs are not always included. This lets you choose the color temperature and brightness that suits your space. Get in touch if you need guidance on the right bulb for a specific fixture.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.
