The Celia Cylinder is a compact pendant with a shade turned from solid alabaster. When lit, the stone becomes translucent and the veining shows through as warm, diffuse light. The open base casts a circle of light downward. A brass fitting and black braided cord complete the form. It suits a bedside position, a dining table in a group of three, or a kitchen hung low over a worktop.
The cylinder form distributes an even wall thickness throughout the alabaster shade, so light fills the stone uniformly and the full depth of the veining shows when lit. The brass fitting is plain and turned; it holds the shade without drawing attention. At Ø 10 cm (3.9") the shade is compact, and it works in groups — three over a dining table, two at a bedside — as well as alone.
