The shade is ribbed milk glass, drawn to a soft point and pulled wide at the belly. Light sits inside the glass and glows rather than glares. A turned brass stem and a single brass sphere finish the underside, anchoring the form.

Fluted ribs run the full curve of the shade, catching and softening the light.
Milk glass gives an even, warm glow with no visible bulb.
Brass stem and pendant sphere add weight and a quiet contrast to the white.

I hung two Ninnikus above our dining table and the room stopped feeling like a rental. That evening, with friends around the table and the glass glowing, someone asked if we'd redecorated the whole room. We hadn't touched anything else. The light did it — that steady, even warmth spreading down over everything.

The shape is the whole idea: a fluted onion drop that stays soft from every angle. Milk glass carries the light without a hot spot, while the brass sphere below gives the form a base and a reason to hang still. It sits as comfortably alone over a nightstand as it does paired above a table.

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.
