Aya is shaped from fine silk stretched over a slender iron frame, its surface divided into curved panels by thin ribs that trace the contour of the shade from crown to edge. The silk carries warmth through it — not a sharp glow, but a soft, diffused light that settles over a table or a hallway and turns a flat, functional space into somewhere people want to stay.

The ribbed silk panels cast a gentle rhythm of shadow and warmth across the ceiling and walls, replacing flat overhead light with something that feels alive.

Warmer tones (2700–3000K) produce soft, inviting light — well suited to living rooms and bedrooms. Cooler tones (4000K and above) are brighter and more energizing, better suited to kitchens and workspaces. Contact us if you'd like a recommendation for a specific room.

What materials are used in your lighting?

Each piece is chosen with material as the first consideration - alabaster, marble, ceramic, brass, wood, ribbed and milk glass. Where safety or longevity calls for a different material, we use it sparingly, but natural materials lead.
