I put it beside the bed in place of a table lamp and the room changed completely. The alabaster goes this soft amber when it's lit — you can see the veining right through the stone. It's the first thing I notice when I walk in now, and somehow the whole room feels more like mine.

Obi is a capsule of solid alabaster, two rounded halves divided by a slim polished brass band. Lit, the stone turns translucent — its natural veining drifting through the surface in slow, warm clouds — while the brass catches a fine highlight at the seam. The glow it casts is soft and close, the kind that makes a room feel inhabited rather than illuminated.
Beside the bed, a formerly bare corner becomes the part of the room you return to. The light is low, warm, and considered — a personal retreat rather than a functional afterthought. There is a quiet satisfaction in a bedside that looks exactly as it should.
